The Board of Sheridan County Commissioners will have a special meeting on 29 August 2023 at 9:00 a.m. to appoint a temporary successor to fill a vacant seat.
The meeting location is: Sheridan County Courthouse Addition, 224 S. Main St, Second Floor Boardroom, #220
We encourage all of you who can attend to please do so to show our support for the nominees we have chosen to fill the vacant seat. The nominees are: Mike Arzy, Bryan Helferich and Holly Jennings.

The Board of Commissioners has received the three nominees to fill the vacant seat from the Sheridan County Republican Party to replace the unexpired term of Commissioner Allan Thompson, who stepped down from his post on July 31st to pursue other endeavors.
The nominees were chosen in an open Central Committee meeting within 10 days of notice from the Board of Commissioners, and forwarded to the Board within the time specified by Wyoming State Statute. We thank the Central Committee members for their diligence in performing their duty, and we look forward to the Board of Sheridan County Commissioners doing the same in the selection process.

I was at the County Commissioner Special Meeting today. I saw many of you there. Thank you to all who were able to attend and those who were there in spirit.
State statute obligates the remaining County Commissioners to choose from the list they were provided. They know they violated that statute today. That's why they justified their actions with two patently false statements:
* The candidates provided were not qualified
* The candidates provided did not have support of the public
